Raila Most Popular Presidential Candidate In Nairobi County- TIFA

| | ,

ODM chief and Azimio la Umoja presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga is the most preferred presidential candidate in Nairobi County.

Polls released by TIFA on Thursday placed Raila Odinga ahead of his main competitor Deputy President William Ruto.

The ODM leader leads in Nairobi County with 41 percent, a 10 percent margin between him and DP Ruto is trailing second with 31 percent.

TIFA said, “Raila Odinga is the most popular presidential candidate in Nairobi, the gap between him and DP Ruto is small enough to suggest that the level of contestation in this county will be high.”

The polls also named Senator Johnson Sakaja the most preferred candidate for Nairobi City County top seat.

For the Senator position, the majority of the Nairobi residents are undecided whom to vote for as Senator of Nairobi County.

The previous survey indicated that ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna was the preferred candidate for the senator position.

Others indicated that they would vote back the current senator, Sakaja. If he changes his mind in any case, it would be a smooth ride for him.

“The fact that some respondents are expressing a preference for the current senator (Sakaja) indicates that most voters will need more clarity as to who all the candidates will be before they decide whom to vote for.”

Esther Passaris remains the most popular candidate for the Woman Representative position with 34 percent, followed by Millicent Omanga, who would bag less than 10 percent of the votes.
