Linus Kaikai was RMS Director of Strategy and Innovation before his appointment and promotion as the company’s Group Editorial Director.
Royal Media Services made the announcement following the exit of Joa Ageyo, who has left the company to pursue other interests.
In a statement, RMS Group Managing Director Wachira Waweru said, “I am pleased to announce the appointment of Linus Kaikai as the RMS Group Editorial Director. Until this appointment, Linus was the Director of Strategy and Innovation,”
At the same time, Mr. Waweru thanked Joe Ageyo for the excellent work and his contribution during his four years tenure as the company’s Group Editorial Director.

“I also wish to announce that Joe Ageyo who has for the last four years served. the RMS as Editorial Director is leaving the company to pursue other interests. I take this opportunity to thank Joe for his service and wish him well in his endeavors,” Mr. Waruru said.
According to an internal source, Linus Kaikai is expected to retain his Strategy and Innovation role alongside his new role as the Group Editorial Director.
MD Wachira Waweru said, “Linus will oversee the administrative and editorial functions of our news and current affairs operations across the RMS platforms.”

Linus Kaikai is expected to start work effective April 1, 2022.
Mr. Waweru further congratulated Linus on his appointment as the Group Editorial Director.
