Cabinet Secretary for sports Ambassador Amina Mohamed has begun talks with the World Football Governing Body FIFA.
Yesterday the 17th of November, Amina held her first consultative meeting with FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura, where they discussed questions raised by FIFA on the disbandment of FKF.
Earlier, FIFA had expressed willingness to hold a meeting with the Ministry of Sports and FKF to address the concerns raised by the stakeholders.

CS Amina disbanded FKF over what she termed as mismanagement of funds.

She further appointed a caretaker committee to be chaired by retired Judge Aaron Ringera.
But on their part, World Football Governing Body, FIFA termed Amina’s actions as illegal, threatening to impose a ban on Kenya.
FIFA further stated that it would not recognize the caretaker committee appointed by Sports CS Amina Mohamed.
According to FIFA, third-party interference in the management of football is prohibited.
After the meeting, which was held virtually, CS Amina released a statement. She said, “All Government of Kenya decisions on football management remain in place and intact. Next meeting will be held next week.”
