CS Amina Mohamed seems to be enjoying the cat and mouse game with the Senate Committee on labour and social welfare after she declined to appear before the House committee.
The senate committee expects cabinet Secretary Amina to answer questions surrounding the disbandment of FKF and the arrest of the federation’s president Nick Mwendwa.
The committee, which Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja chairs, has expressed their disappointment over the failure by CS Amina to appear before the House committee.
This comes when FIFA has issued a warning to the Kenyan government for interfering with the operations of FKF, threatening to impose a ban on Kenya.

FIFA has made it clear that it will not recognize the caretaker committee appointed by CS Amina Mohamed.
A letter sent by FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura read in part, “I have been made aware of the appointment of the so called ‘caretaker committee’ together with its secretariat in lieu of elected FKF executive.”
“I must highlight that the appointment of the caretaker committee is undoubtedly contrary to our principles according to which all our member associations, including FKF, are required to manage their affairs independently and without influence of any third parties,” Fatma added.
To bring things back to order, the committee led by Johnson Sakaja said, “I have given the CS 48 hours to respond to us and thereafter I will give a directive on the matter. We shall know the next course of action. We will notify all the stakeholders.”
But CS Amina has requested be given more time to prepare adequately to be able to answer questions raised by the senate.
