President Uhuru Kenyatta’s allies from central Kenya are planning a big rally in Nyeri County where they will publicly endorse ODM leader Raila Odinga for the 2022 presidential bid.
Sources who spoke to SemaKenya.com confirmed that the planned rally would be held in a few weeks, something that has pushed DP Ruto to the drawing board.
More than seven governors who were elected on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party from the Mount Kenya region have already pledged their support for Raila Odinga’s presidential bid.

For the first time in the history of Kenya, the voter-rich region has welcomed Baba Raila Odinga, thanks to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
MP Kang’ata had earlier indicated that Raila Odinga was not sellable in the mountain, but things seem to have changed, with most MPs now supporting Raila Odinga.
DP Ruto, who is currently selling his bottom-up model to the people of Central Kenya, has enjoyed enormous support from the region.
But things seem to have been changing in Raila’s favor. Ruto is slowly losing support while the former Prime Minister is gaining support.
Those who have endorsed the ODM leader include Lee Kinyanjui of Nakuru, Kiraitu Murungi of Meru, CS Health Mutahi Kagwe, Peter Munya; the list is endless.

He said, “People like Kiraitu should stop playing with us.”
According to Ruto, some governors and a section of leaders are from Mount Kenya were forcing Raila on the People.
The leaders have warned Ruto against using insulting words whenever he visits the region.
Things are moving fast; nine days after the Nyeri rally, Raila, who has not yet declared that he will run for the presidency, will make a public announcement declaring his candidature for the big seat.
