Football Kenya Federation (FKF) chairperson Nick Mwendwa insists that his team is still in charge of the football operations in Kenya.
He insists that he does not recognize the decision by the Sports CS Amina Mohamed to disband FKF.
Nick, who has vowed to fight back, opposed the newly formed caretaker committee, which former Judge Aaron Ringera heads.
During a press conference held at the La Mada Hotel in Nairobi on Thursday, November 11, the embattled President insisted he remains the FKF president.
Nick Mwendwa and his team are being investigated for alleged misappropriation of sports funds, estimated at Ksh430 Million.
According to the FKF audit report by the registrar of sports Rose Wasike, FKF failed to explain how funds given to the Federation were utilized, which led to the disbandment of FKF by CS Amina.
Reacting to the change, Nick Mwendwa rejected the appointment. He said, “We won’t accept the decision by sports CS Amina Mohamed.”
