For those who may have forgotten, the head of the African Church of the Holy Spirit, Shem Shamalla, was gifted a brand new car, Suzuki Escudo, a sport utility vehicle by DP Ruto.

The High Priest, before his demise, was one of the selected few close friends of the Deputy President who enjoyed favor around him.
DP took to his social media platforms, “Deeply saddened by the loss of High Priest Shem Shamalla of the African Church of the Holy Spirit – Kakamega. He was a faith leader with steadfast religious credence. His sermons were always powerful, enriching, and educative.”
“Our prayers to the Shamalla family, the church, and the people of Malava during this painful time of mourning. Rest in Peace, my friend,” he added.
The late High Priest and his followers have been strong supporters of DP Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid, and his demise seems to have pushed Dr. Ruto to the drawing board.
High Priest Shamalla, was 84 years old at the time of his passing.
