President Uhuru Kenyatta, who was speaking to the residents of Karatina, assured the public that the nationwide curfew to be lifted in days to come.
In his own words, President Uhuru Kenyatta said, “In the days to come, we will look at it, I’m working, and very soon, you will hear it, I do not want to speak too early but very soon… You need to also protect yourself from the disease, so that when we re-open there are no more deaths, and you will be free to live as you want.”

This came days after he received complaints concerning the nationwide curfew.
Politicians have continued to hold political gatherings, endangering the lives of many innocent Kenyans.
The Head of State was in Kirinyaga County to launch a number of projects, he was received by the governor of Kirinyaga, Hon. Ann Waiguru.

On her part, the governor of Kirinyaga County, Hon. Ann Waiguru said, “It was a pleasure to host His Excellency the President, Uhuru Kenyatta for an extensive tour of Thiba Dam in Gichugu and the projects water intake at Kandongu.”

Once complete, It will facilitate the realization of maximum output from the Mwea irrigation scheme, she added.
