President Uhuru sends yet another message to DP Ruto, warning him against giving the youths handouts, while at the same time indirectly endorsing Raila, praising him for focusing his energy on infrastructure.
Uhuru further said that leaders should focus on projects that will enable Kenyans to fend for themselves, and not rely on small handouts.
President Uhuru rubbished DP Ruto’s economic plan, terming it as a strategy that will only leave many Kenyans without a clear source of livelihood.

The President is categorical on matters of infrastructure. Speaking on Friday during his visit to Ukambani in Makueni County where he inspected the ongoing construction of Thwake multipurpose dam, a flagship project of Kenya’s Vision 2030 development blueprint.
President Uhuru went on to say, “Some people are questioning why we are putting up infrastructural projects throughout the country. We know the importance of infrastructure. When there is good infrastructure ‘wananchi’ will be able to do their businesses without any hindrance.”
The President was accompanied by several leaders including the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Governor Charity Ngilu (Kitui), Alfred Mutua (Machakos), and Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugine Wamalwa.
