US CONGRESS has formally certified the election of Joe Biden as the next President of the United States after he got up to 306 college votes.
As congress was certifying the results, supporters of Donald Trump were rioting, with some claiming the elections had been rigged in favor of Joe Biden.
President-elect Joe Biden will be inaugurated on January 20.
Earlier on, the Senate rejected a number of objections, throwing out Georgia and Pennsylvania’s electoral votes for Joe Biden.
We saw thousands and thousands of rioters breach the United States Capitol building on Wednesday. This was caused by the “Stop the steal movement”, a platform Mr. Trump was using to keep himself in office.
