ODM has officially withdrawn from the Nairobi governor’s race and is ready to back the Jubilee candidate. 

Handshake is still working wonders. During an interview, ODM’s leader Raila Odinga said, ” ODM will work with the ruling Jubilee party to front a suitable pair for the Nairobi race.”

ODM has now withdrawn from the race.

Who would have thought that such a thing would happen, knowing what we know about ODM.

While speaking to a local newsletter, ODM national chairman Mr. John Mbadi said they came to that conclusion after they held several meetings with Jubilee party officials.

ODM has promised to help the ruling Jubilee party recapture the Nairobi top seat after the fall of former governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko.

The election for the Nairobi governor race will hold on the 18th of February, 2021.

Jubilee has two aspirants whose nanes have been forwarded for party primaries. 

ODM will back whoever emerges as the winner during the Jubilee party primaries

Businesswoman Agnes Kagure and former Dagoretti South MP Dennis Waweru to battle it out during the party primaries.

Do you think this is a good move by ODM?

The move by ODM to withdraw from the race has been seen as a bad blow to some of the aspirants like Sam Wakiaga and Beth Syengo who had expressed their interest in Nairobis’ top job.
