Play The Game Of Life To WIN. Lessons From “The Day I walked To Work.”

To win in any game, you must be well prepared and apply the rules of that game correctly. The same applies in the game of life.

Human beings don’t like following the rules, even when they understand the importance of following them, mainly because of fear of the unknown.

We so often lose because of FEAR.

We ask ourselves questions like, what if I don’t get a breakthrough in this business. What If I lose all my savings?

One man said, “Do not take counsel of your fears.”

Emerson declared, “Do the things you fear, and the death of fear is certain.”

You need to understand that to win in the game of life; you must prepare adequately.

You prepare to win by having the right mental attitude, commitment, and willingness to work diligently without stopping or giving up.

To win the game of life, you must know what you want, how you want it, and when you want it.

Guard your time. I talk about time because it is the most limited resource that you will ever have at your disposal at any given time.

Someone said, “Time is limited, and yet it is the most wasted.”

Time is so limited that you cannot afford to waste it on things that do not matter or waste it on things that do not add value to your life.

The game of life is tricky, and one must apply the right principles and follow the correct laws.

Just like the law of gravity explains why an apple from a tree never drops upwards or sideways except the ground, the Earth is responsible for the downward pull.

To win in any area of your life, you must apply specific rules.

You already know what you need to do for you to win. Do exactly that; there are no shortcuts to success in the game of life.

It goes back to goal setting, having the right attitude, being open-minded, developing a positive mindset, talking to the right people, and lastly, taking action.

To realize your dream, you must take appropriate action. Stay in the game long enough, stay angry, and be consistent, and you will be guaranteed a big win.

Most people give up when they are about to win, mainly because it becomes even more complicated when approaching the goal post.

Add a checklist. This game requires that you constantly review your objectives to determine your progress.

You need to know what you have achieved, what you are yet to achieve, and how to merge the two.

The checklist will tell you precisely what you need to do hourly, daily, and weekly.

Will Rogers said, “To succeed, you must know what you are doing, like what you are doing, and believe in what you are doing.”

You cannot be the best at something you do not enjoy doing. Enjoying what you do is part of the game.

“Most people don’t realize that the real opportunity for success lies within the person and not in the job. Be that person.

Develop a winning attitude first, and then get to work.

I will leave you with the wise words of Basil King, “Be bold, and the mighty forces will come to your aid.”
